The Hills Come Alive with the Sound of Bocelli, Lajatico

Primarily known for the famous tenor and his yearly concert at Teatro del Silenzio, Lajatico is one of the more prominent, smaller towns of the Pisan Hills. Andrea Bocelli’s hometown features plenty of quaint, family owned restaurants and businesses that are worth visiting.

But, its primary draw is the yearly Bocelli concert that takes place at Teatro del Silenzio. This magnificent outdoor theatre sits by itself just outside of Lajatico. The views from here are outstanding. The concert takes place in mid July, so you can expect good weather and he normally has guests join him on stage, this year it’s Ed Sheeran! 

Tickets normally go on sale towards the beginning of the year and many of the local hotels and tour companies offer packages. If this sounds up your alley, two offerings that are worth checking out is a package offered by a local tours favorite, Arianna and Friends that include tickets to the show, shuttle and local tours and accommodations. The other package to check is offered by Le Vecchie Cantine in Chianni that includes accommodations, shuttle and meals. Packages start around 500 euros and go up from there depending on the adds on.
